Changelog

Every version the cat has lived through. It updates itself, so you always have the latest.

0.1.21 – 0.1.27 23 July 2026

  • You can now hide the cat right from the menu-bar or right-click menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the cat would sometimes start up hiding behind the macOS Dock.
  • Login codes can now be 8 digits long, making your account even more secure.

0.1.14 – 0.1.20 22 July 2026

  • The last corners of the app that were still stuck in one language now speak all nine: the menu-bar menu, the pattern editor, the AI agent messages, first-run setup, and even the update prompts.
  • Switching language now redraws the menu-bar menu straight away, instead of leaving the old words there until restart.
  • Fixed the cat getting stuck while chasing your cursor.

0.1.13 20 July 2026

  • The menu-bar menu is grouped into Customization and Settings instead of one long list.

0.1.8 – 0.1.12 20 July 2026

  • The whole app speaks nine languages: English, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese and Korean — down to every item in the right-click menu.
  • A language switcher, so you don't have to take whatever macOS guessed.

0.1.6 19 July 2026

  • The cat can live in your menu bar with no dock icon at all — and start up with your Mac.
  • Closing a window hides it instead of quitting; clicking the icon brings the cat back.
  • Every window with a form in it — licence, account, first run, skills — can be resized.
  • Buttons light up and lift when your cursor is over them, and press down when clicked.

0.1.5 19 July 2026

  • Reset your password with a code from your inbox, without leaving the app.
  • Only one copy of Purrbyte runs at a time — no more two cats fighting over the same box.
  • A real message instead of an empty error when an email fails to send.

0.1.4 16 July 2026

  • The cat starts life on the shelf along the bottom of your screen.
  • Check for updates by hand from the menu, if you don't feel like waiting.

0.1.3 16 July 2026

  • “React to AI agents” is a proper switch now — turning it off really turns it off.
  • First-run setup no longer asks you to sign in when you already have.

Older builds were rough private ones and aren't worth listing. Something broken or missing? support@purrbyte.app.
